My parents had
visited many retirement communities in the past looking for a fit.
They loved their home and neighborhood but knew they needed to have
some options for down the road.
My mother moved
into Churchill December 1, 2009 and she felt at home almost
immediately. She loved her apartment and the fact that she could
pick the colors for accent walls in her living room and bedroom.
The apartment was well appointed and just right for her. The
building was like a large Italian Villa with a wonderful courtyard
patio and charming restaurant, art room, theatre and exercise
facility, this place had everything she would
need.
The best thing
about Churchill is the staff - they all made her feel welcomed and
cared for. It really became her extended family. She loved
them all. At Churchill you are not just an apartment
number you are a member of a very special community - a larger
extended family.
My mother only
lived at Churchill for a short time - she passed away after a
brief illness. She was so glad to be at Churchill and enjoyed every
day she lived there, saying, "I feel like I am on a vacation
everyday."
My sisters and
I still visit Churchill to say hi to the great staff and catch up
with our mother's friends. It is a great place. I hope they have
room for me when I am ready to live like I am on vacation
everyday!
